MOMS Club® of Hastings provides many activities and services for our members. We periodically add and change things as needed based on the suggestions of our members. We try to provide a variety of programs for everyone's interests.
Below is a list and brief description of a few of the activities and services that the Club offers:
Member Meetings: We meet once a month to discuss business of the club, make announcements, plan play dates and set up committees for service projects. Attendance is not mandatory, but encouraged.
Field Trips: Past trips have included: St. Paul Children's Museum, Minnesota Zoo, an apple orchard, Minnesota History Center, local radio station, police department, fire station, the Lock and Dam, and Fort Snelling.
MOMS Night Out: Once a month our MOMS have the opportunity to get out and socialize. MOMS Night Outs have been great fun! We have had dinner out, nights in at a member’s home, bowling, meet at the movies, visited local events together, etc.
Park Days: We schedule park days several times a month during the summer to give our children a chance to get outside and play together.
Playgroups: Unless otherwise noted in the calendar, our playgroups usually take place in a member's home in smaller groups during the school year.
Caring MOMS: This program is for members to help other members who are in need by bringing meals to them. Help is given when a member is on bed rest, has a new baby, or has a family emergency.
Guest Speakers: Our speakers have included a local police officer to discuss the changes in seat belt and child restraint laws, a school superintendent to talk about an upcomming referendum, a local lawyer on writing a will, and a local mechanic on basic car maintenance.
